Full brown calf, some scuffing & wear yet with good solid joints, tight, 7 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches, red leather title label lacking about a third on the right edge. "A. A. Martin" in pencil inside front, other markings/scribbles on the end papers; the title page is a bit tattered and partly loose. [1]-676 pages, counted and complete. Some marginal stains; one leaf torn at bottom corner affecting a few letters; foxing, many turned page corners. Good. Hardcover.

Also includes Articles of Religion and Rules of the Methodist Episcopal Church. The Rules include a statement forbidding "The buying and selling of men, women, and children, with the intention to enslave them."
