Library stamps & card pockets within. Good. Hardcover.

These came from the Hammond Library of the Chicago Theological Seminary. They were sent to the Congregational Library in Boston many years ago, and bought by us nearly 12 years ago when we purchased several racks worth of duplicate material from the library. We just discovered a few boxes from that purchase.

They present a very exact accounting of the Congregational churches in Vermont, with statistics, revival reports, reports from individual congregations, hundreds of biographies of ministers, missionary reports, obituaries, &c.

The proper title for the first report is Minutes of the General Convention of Congregational Ministers and Churches in Vermont, in their Session at Rutland, June, 1861: with the Report of the Corresponding Secretary, and the Statistics of the Churches. Windsor: Vermont Chronicle Book and Job Office.

That of the last is: Minutes and Reports of the One Hundred and Thirty-fifth Annual Meeting of the Vermont Congregational Conference and Domestic Missionary Society, Inc. Held at St. Johnsbury, May 16-18, 1930. St. Johnsbury, Vt.: The Cowles Press, Inc. 1930.
