These 8 volumes come from 3 different sources. It is a complete 7 volume set of this edition of Wesley's Works, plus an earlier volume of his Notes on the New Testament, in a matching binding. Each volume is listed in detail below. All are in very good full leather bindings with matching red & black spine labels.
Volume I is 1853 Carlton & Phillips, and is slightly taller at 9 1/4 x 6 inches; Vols. II-VII are 9 x 5 3/4 inches, 1835-1839 B. Waugh and T. Mason; Vol. VIII is 8 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches, 1818 J. Soule and T. Mason. All texts are tight; light foxing, vol. 8 with weak back joint. The two photos of stains are in volume 3 only. Very good. Hardcover.

Vol. III. Journal. 659 pp. This volume has a dark stain in the top outer corner, with some inert black spots and worming. Affects about 2/3rds of the pages, and is also visible on the front cover. We will include a photo of this defect. You can still read the text without any problem, but the stain is unsightly.

Vol. VII. Miscellaneous. 858 pp. Contains an Index for the first seven volumes, which make a complete set.
Vol. VIII. Explanatory Notes on the New Testament. 1818 Fourth American Edition. This book has a weak rear outer joint with some separation at both ends. Inside end paper hinges still strong; should be handled with care.
