Fenton, Francis P.; Bresnahan, John E.; et al [editors]. The Tagastan (1936-1942, 13 issues); Edited and Published by The Students of Augustinian College, Washington, DC. Washington DC: The Students of Augustinian College, 1936-1942. [6308]
Thirteen issues collected into two groups making two volumes held together by cloth tape over the spines, black ink titles written on the tape.
The first group is Vol. I. nos. 1, 2, 3 (1936-37) and Vol. II. nos. 2, 3, 4, (1938-39). The second group is Vol. III. nos. 1, 2 (1939-40, Vol. IV. no. 1, 2, 3 (1940-41), and Vol. V. nos. 2, 3 (1942). So you see, it isn't a complete run (which would be 4 nos. per year), but a collected group of 13 issues for the years.
Each issue has the original wrappers, all are in good condition, except the front wrapper of the outer issue in the second group has chipped corners. These all run 50-60 pp. each and some have plates/illustrations. There is a library name and address stamped on the front of each. Good. Paperback.
Each issue with a different editor. All have Nihil obstat. & Imprimatur. This periodical ran from 1936 to 1968, and considered itself to be the continuation of The Penman, and before that, The Monican.
