The book compares the doctrines and practices of the Roman church to those found in the scriptures, and to those of the Protestants. It concludes that the Roman practice is not according to the Bible, that the Protestant practice is, and that the Roman church has left the truth. Provides many historical examples of the belief and practice of Protestants older than the times of Luther, in answer to the charge, "Where is your doctrine before Luther appeared?" The compiler says that the material was gathered out of the Cripplegate Lectures.
