Published in English as The Foundations of Permanent Peace. Written by the Swedish statesman and diplomat August Schvan in 1916, and here translated into French. A New York Times December, 1914, article by Schvan "Offers Suggestions for an International Supreme Court and an International Peace, and believes Universal Free Trade of Dominant Importance for Peace." These themes as well as the observation that Germany would destroy France in a war, and that the United States was too isolationist to be of any help, are taken up in this book.
