Perry F. Rockwood, (1917-2008), b. New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. He was ordained to the Presbyterian ministry in 1943 in Halifax, preached against apostasy in the church and was put up on trial. He resigned and started his own radio ministry in 1947, The Peoples Gospel Hour, and his own church, The Peoples Church at Truro, Nova Scotia. He may be called a strict fundamentalist, crusading for KJV-only, against ecumenism of any kind including that of Billy Graham, against the charismatic movement, and Roman Catholics, of whom he proclaimed "he would no more think of accepting Roman Catholics as Christians than the man on the moon."
