In this presentation the author challenges his hearers to base medical progress upon real scientific knowledge gained from experience and observation, to not "throw the baby out with the bathwater," by rejecting older methods only because they are old. He briefly reviews the progress of medicine from the time of the ancient Greeks to his own day.
