Originally styled "The New-England Religious Herald," this Hartford, Connecticut publication was published weekly in the 1840s and 1850s, by D. B. Moseley. It took a strong temperance position and printed both sides of the controversies regarding Horace Bushnell and his book, "God in Christ."
