William Barnett Guerrant (1892-1974), b. Danville, Kentucky. He was educated at Centre College, New York City Biblical Institute, and was a graduate of Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. At the time this pamphlet was composed Guerrant was superintendent of the Highland Institute of Breathitt Co., Kentucky. He served as professor of philosophy and religion at Austin College, Sherman, Texas (1939-1943) and then as president of the college for ten years until his retirement in 1953.
