Three volumes in quarter blue cloth, red boards, black leather title labels in gilt "The American Revolution" and volume nos., top page edges stained yellow, bindings fine and clean, 9 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches, small scuff mark on the back board of vol. 3. Each article with its own page numbers, frontispiece, and title page for the set. Illustrated, texts are clean; the set takes up 5 inches of shelf space. The interior photos are all from volume one. Very good. Hardcover.
This three volume set is a compilation of scholarly articles that appeared in the Magazine of American History between the years 1879 and 1892. They include all of the illustrations, and many smaller articles and insights not included in the major titles. There are also sections of "Original Documents" unpublished elsewhere.
