S. Stanley Hawbaker (1911-1983), of Greencastle, Pennsylvania. A professional trapper, he published his first book on the subject in 1938. His helpful books on trapping have proven very popular with both professionals and novices alike. The first Hawbaker's General Trapping Supply Catalogue was issued in 1940, and the last in 2014.
