Margaret Grierson (c. 1783-1849), a native of Leith, Scotland. She was an evangelical, and a benefactor of the poor. She wrote historical novels of Christian interest, biographies and histories. She joined with the Free Church at the Disruption. Her most famous book is probably Pierre and His Family; or, a Story of the Waldenses (Edinburgh, 1823).
