A general introduction to Presbyterianism in the American colonies & states, followed by the particular history of this presbytery, which was formed out of the Presbytery of Allegheny in 1841. It consisted of 51 congregations at the time of this writing; there is a history of each congregation included. Most of the histories begin before the separation into the new presbytery.
