William Morehead Britt (1858-1935), b. Cass Co., Missouri; d. Dwight, Illinois. Britt was a Methodist minister who earned a "Principle of Pedagogy" degree from the University of Missouri in 1878. His byline under his name on the title page is "Minister, Missionary, Mystic."
