Henry Wellington Greatorex (1813-1858), b Burton upon Trent, England; d. Charleston, South Carolina. A trained musician, he was for many years the organist of Westminster Abbey and a conductor of the London concerts of ancient music. He emigrated to the United States in 1839, and continued his career as an organist and conductor of concerts in several churches and cities.
