The Theological Institute of Connecticut was founded in 1834 on East Windsor Hill (now part of South Windsor) as a conservative alternative to Yale Divinity School, established by the Pastoral Union of Connecticut to train Congregational ministers. It moved to Hartford in 1865 and became known as the Hartford Theological Seminary.
This is a vindication of the new Theological Institute, in which some of the doctrines taught at the Yale Divinity School are examined and denounced as subversive to Biblical Calvinism.
