John of Kronstadt (1829-1908), was a Russian Orthodox archpriest and a member of the Most Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church. He was known for his mass confessions, and charitable work, as well as his monarchistic and anti-communist views.
The followers of his religion claim that he has performed many miracles; his detractors accused him following some Protestant practices and deviating from some church rules and symbolic practices.
