The review is very critical of the Translation and said to be an attempt to promote the views of Socinians under a cloak of falsehood. "The sacred code of Christian faith is mutilated and perverted with the most unsparing violence...Confident assertion and gratuitous assumption stand frequently in the place of reasoning; and reasoning, where it is attempted, consists of wrong conclusions built on ill-founded premises..."
