Müller, S.; Raymond, Fanny Malone [translator]. Part Songs, for Three and Four Female Voices. Selected mostly from a collection by S. Müller, and translated by Fanny Malone Raymond. For the Use of Normal Schools, Young Ladies' Institutes, &c. Boston: Oliver Ditson & Co. , 1861. First Edition. [11135}

Purple cloth spine with green printed paper over card, spine faded and the cloth worn with paste repair resetting part of the backstrip. 7 x 4 3/4 inches, publisher's adverts on the end papers, several signatures in pencil: "Mary L. Sprague, Girls' High School, Boston, Sept. 1875." 160 clean pp., tight. Good. Hardcover.

The songs are moral, religious, sentimental, and patriotic. Includes "My Country 'tis of Thee," "Easter Hymn," "Praise Thou the Lord," and many others. The music is in round notes.

We find reference to a Prof. Homer B. Sprague being the head-master of the Girls' High School, Boston, in 1880.  Perhaps this is signed by his wife or daughter.
