Donn, John M. [MAP] Hawaii, Hawaiian Islands; Hawaii Territory Survey. Washington: Government Printing Office, 1901. First Edition. [11885]
A very large lithographed map in bright colors, 38 1/4 x 32 3/4 inches, a few small holes and toning at the folds; one short split at a fold; when your framer backs the map the small holes will not be a factor. The map is dated 1901 and was included in the Hawaiian governor's report for 1906, published in 1907. Shipped folded. Good. Map.
"Andrew B. Graham Co., Lithographers, Washington, D. C." in lower map margin.
This genuine, antique map is fresh to the market. We have removed it from the House of Representatives 59th Congress, 2d Session, Document No. 5: Annual Reports of the Department of the Interior for 1906. It has never before been offered for sale and represents a brilliant opportunity for someone to acquire this rare map for their collection.
This is the first modern comprehensive map of Hawaii. The map uses color and other markings to distinguish land use, forest reserves, wetlands, grazing lands, &c. with homesteads, schools, post offices, and settlements revealed throughout the map. It marks out pineapple plantations and sugar plantations, and wet lands.
This historic map will compliment any collection of Hawaiiana.
