George Brydges Rodney (1872-1944), b. New Castle, Delaware; an American Calvaryman, active in service from 1898 to 1932. He was a lieutenant with D Troop of the 10th Cavalry Regiment, and his memoir contains a valuable record of troop life and service in the Philippines. After the Spanish American War Rodney was involved in the pursuit of Pancho Villa, and in the first World War he was a colonel in command of the Tenth and later the Seventeenth Cavalry. He was also at times stationed in Arizona and in Wyoming.
