Rev. Aaron Dutton (1780-1849), b. Waterbury, Conn.; d. Guilford, Conn. Dutton studied at Yale College, was ordained in 1805 as the pastor of the church in Guilford, at which post he remained until 1842. Rev. Dutton had become an abolitionist, a stance that was rejected by his congregation. He then was served the Home Missionary Society in Iowa for a few years, before taking sick.
