20th Congress, 1st Session, Document No. 103, House of Representatives.

An examination of treaties and legal documents beginning 1762. The governor of Florida appeals to these documents and calls for a correction to the border between his territory and the State of Georgia; that Florida should possess all of the territory "south of Ellicot's line." The discrepancies came from the earlier border of Florida, when a possession of Spain, being ill-defined, and from Creek Indians refusing to allow a survey to run through their territory.

The final boundary was not settled and recognized until after an 1855 Supreme Court case and a final approval by Congress in 1872.
