Risdon Darracott (1717-1759), b. Swanage, England; d. Wellington, England. An Independent minister, trained in part by his father, who was also an Independent minister. He went to college at Northampton during the days of the Rev. Philip Dodderidge's tutelage. Darracott's constitution was not strong, and although his ministry was marked with success in the various places he was pastor, he died at a fairly young age. His funeral sermon was preached by the Rev. Benjamin Fawcett.
