Pictorial wrappers, battle scene & title to front, view of the Bunker Hill Monument on back, 7 1/2 x 10 inches, 16 pp. Verso of front with engraving, "View of Bunker Hill from the Navy Yard, before the Erection of the Monument, from a Painting made 1825." First, the first appearance of Oliver Wendell Holmes' Grandmother Story of Bunker-Hill (BAL 8898), written expressly for this publication, with printed instructions that it shall not be reproduced. Second, a scholarly account of the Battle, by James M. Bugbee. The third is N. L. Frothingham's poem, The Crossed Swords
