Ithaca, NY: Friends of the Library Book Sale starts October 12

You can find great books at this sale.  Ithaca is the home of Cornell University and Ithaca College.

"There are 265,000 items available for purchase, including books, CDs, DVDs, LPs, maps, puzzles, games, comics, collectibles, greeting cards, calendars, framed art, posters, computer games and computer software. The sale officially kicks off at 8 a.m. Saturday, and will open its doors to the die-hard book fans who always camp out to get their hands on the best items.

"On the first day of the sale, each item is priced at either $4.50, $3 or $1.50. That price is reduced each day until the last day when it's just $1 for as much as you can fit in a shopping bag. The Friends of the Tompkins County Library estimate that by the end of the sale, almost 80% of items are sold."
