A campaign book by the author of Ben Hur extolling the virtues of General Harrison in his run for the presidency of the United States. Harrison was the victor, and served from 1889 to 1901. He was the grandson of the ninth US President, William Henry Harrison, and the great-grandson of Benjamin Harrison V., a signer of the US Declaration of Independence and governor of Virginia. An officer during the American Civil War on the side of the Union, Harrison's presidency oversaw an strengthening of the US armed forces, particularly the Navy.

The book includes a biography of his running mate, Levi P. Morton of New York.
