Milton Waldman (1895-1976), b. Cleveland, OH; d. London, England. Waldman was a writer, editor, and publisher who specialized in Renaissance biographies. He made his home in London for more than 45 years, and was for 27 years adviser and sometime director of the publishing firm William Collins Sons & Company.

Americana was his first book.
