Leather spine & corners, red calf spine label, some loss of paper to back board, binding worn and scuffed yet good with no cracks and is tight, 8 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches. Recent owner's signature on ffep with his notes in pencil on the paste-down, identifying the many revival articles within. The 1824 volume lacks the general title page. 380; iv., 384 pp., lacks the rear free end papers. The volume for 1825 includes the general title page and index. Good.

Not in Roberts. Includes many short accounts of revivals in the United States. "The Christian Repository provided sermons and Bible studies, news of missions to the American Indians, and coverage of revivals and the activities of various societies, such as the American Bible Society, American Jew Society, and American Educational Society." - Worldcat. A periodical in print only from 1822 to 1826.

The contents appear to us to promote the Calvinism of the "old school."
