Professor Herman Gustaf Tegenfeldt (1913-1981), American Baptist missionary to Burma for twenty-five years; at the time this book was written he was professor of missions at Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. "Most of Dr. Tegenfeldt's service in Burma was among the Kachin people near the China border, primarily in the Myitkyina area. Earlier, he served as a mission high school principal in Rangoon, and also in Nellore, South India, during World War II. The last few years, he was Field Secretary of the Burma Baptist Missionary Fellowship, and worked closely with the national leaders of the Burma Baptist Convention." - publisher.
