James Strong (1822-1894), professor in Drew Theological Seminary and creator of Strong's Concordance. He was a member of the Anglo-American commission to revise the English Bible, one of the writers of Lange's Commentaries, and along with John M’Clintock, was the author of the valuable Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological, and Ecclesiastical Literature, a work that we find particularly useful.
