A scarce self-published history of the Episcopal Church in the area of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Includes a map of a proposed Diocese. Other denominations are also mentioned, particularly in the accounts of the earlier days of the settlement. The history begins with the establishment of Fort Snelling in 1821, the chaplain Rev. Clement F. Jones, appointed in 1828, and the ministry of the Rev. Ezekiel G. Gear, who arrived at Fort Snelling in 1839. The very detailed record continues to circa 1908.
