Giuseppe Petrelli (1876-1957) Italian-born immigrant to the United States in 1905. He began his career as a lawyer, and as a journalist for Il Corriere di Napoli. He was instructor in Italian history at Colgate University by 1912. Mr. Petrelli accepted baptism by immersion in 1905 in the sea of Naples, and shortly after came to the United States as a Baptist missionary to his Italian brethren. By 1915 he was pastor of a Church in Chicago and that year experienced the "baptism in the Holy Spirit," and from that time forward he did itinerant missionary work for the Pentecostal movement in the United States, Argentina, and Brazil. He also devoted much effort to publishing Pentecostal magazines and to writing numerous books.
