This third edition is revised by Rev. Emilius Nicholson, the son of George Nicholson. The book is arranged alphabetically, with extensive descriptions of towns and villages.
George Nicholson (1760-1835), English printer and author who set up the first printing press in Bradford, England, and subsequently operated presses in Manchester, Poughnill, and at Stourport.
