With the green map case, measuring 9 x 5 1\/2 inches, brown string closure intact, gilt \"Adirondack Map. 1898.\" to front, \"State of New York | The Fisheries, Game and Forest Commission\" above. Small splits\/holes at the center of some folds, there is a 5 inch tear above the Legend at bottom left; these would all press out nicely if mounted, or respond well to repairs. Bright, warm colors greatly enhance the appearance of this magnificent Adirondack map.  Very good. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis map encompasses the entire Adirondack region and is colored to identify state forest preserve lands, lands bought or under contract by the Forest Preserve Board, and lands of joint state \u0026amp; private ownership. The border of the Park is outlined in blue. Individual tracts of land are drawn, and the uncolored regions indicate private ownership in 1898.
