Willard Francis Mallalieu (1828-1911) b. Sutton, MA, of Puritan and Huguenot ancestry. He was for twenty-four years a pastor in the Methodist Episcopal Church, and elected a Bishop of the same in 1884. He was noted for his frequent contributions to the religious press, and was a popular Chautauqua speaker.
