Gypsy Rose Lee, stage name of Rose Louise Hovick (1911-1970), burlesque dancer famous for her striptease act. She appeared in 13 Hollywood films, and many television shows. She wrote two mystery novels, a memoir, and one play which was filmed and released as Doll Face in 1946.
