Rev. Yunkuk David Kim (1922-2016), b. near the Yalu River in northwestern Korea; d. Fairfax Station, VA. He was born at a Presbyterian mission hospital and was educated by Presbyterian missionaries. After service in the Republic of Korea Army, he earned a master's degree at Princeton Theological Seminary. His sufferings included imprisonment by the communists. Kim earned five different academic degrees, was senior pastor of Youngnak Presbyterian Church in Seoul, and was a college and seminary professor of Old Testament studies.
