Dr. R. Park Johson -1998), educated at Princeton (Ph.D. Near Eastern Studies) and at Hanover College (D.D.), taught at Alborz College in Tehran (1938-1940), and from 1950 to 1972 was the field representative for the PCUSA in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Pakistan. He also served the Reformed Church of America in the Persian Gulf, and provided services for the United Church of Christ's missions in Syria and Iraq.
