Faded purple cloth, stamped in blind & gilt, lacks the backstrip, 7 1/2 x 5 inches, former owner's signatures and ink name stamp on the ffep (Lloyd Sprinkle), frontispiece of Osborn at the age of 97 years, engraving of the Old Stone Church, 143 pp. with foxing and marginal stains. Hardcover.  

Rev. Ethan Osborn (1758-1858), b. at Litchfield, CT; d. at Fairton, NJ. Osborn was a soldier in the American Revolution, serving under the command of Washington in the campaign of 1776. He graduated at Dartmouth in 1784, and in 1788 became he pastor of the Fairfield Presbyterian Church (Old Stone Church) in Fairton, NJ, where he served until his retirement in 1844.

There were revivals in the church in 1807, 1819, 1831, 1858. Not in Roberts.
