John Adelbert Davis (1871-1934), b. Afton, NY, enthusiastic Christian convert who studied at the Chicago (Moody) Bible Institute. He was a successful evangelist and the founder of Practical Bible Training School in Johnson City, NY, in 1909.
This book gives his life story and 12 sermons. It includes many statements of recommendation by pastors whose churches were increased by revivals under his Davis' ministry. R. A. Torrey and J. Wilbur Chapman are included in photos, as well as the song evangelists F. H. Mills and P. P. Bilhorn.
