Martin Hans Franzmann (1907-1976), b. Lake City, Minnesota; d. Wells, England. A Lutheran minister and scholar, Franzmann was educated at Northwestern College, Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, the University of Chicago, and studied for a time in Greece. He spent the majority of his teaching career at Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was a noted conservative on the matters of Biblical inerrancy and inspiration. In 1969 he left Concordia Seminary and became tutor at Westfield House in Cambridge, England, the theological college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of England.
