A story of missionary life in Fiji and China. "Cadet Stephen" is a military cadet whose mother takes a tour of missionary work in Fiji and who himself becomes a missionary to China. The author made use of the diary of Rev. James Royce, missionary to Fiji, and of insights from Miss Stella Relyea and Dr. L. P. Leung, missionaries to China.
