An Appeal to Wesleyan Methodists, to see the Revival and continued Prosperity of the Word of God
Broadside. Professionally matted and framed, frame is 9 1/4 x 11 3/4 inches, with a wire for hanging. Printed by S. Bennion, Market Drayton. Undated - we find reference to Bennion's firm in an 1845 directory, and in 1869 we find reference to is as an "old-established business." This likely dates ca. 1845-1855. [ART006]
Market Drayton is in north Shropshire, England, near the Welsh border.
An appeal and instructions for keeping a revival in motion, example:
"That every office-bearer and member heartily co-operate with the Circuit Ministers in connection with the various existing means of grace - the Public Preaching, the Class Meeting, the Prayer Meeting, &c."
"It is most strongly urged that some distinct portion of each day be secured and held sacred for closet-pleading for a more plentiful outpouring of the Spirit, for the Divine Blessing on the Christian Ministry, and all the agencies of the Church, - and for one soul whose salvation is being sought."
