The original edition is ESTC W34144; Evans 259; Sabin 348, and no. 27 in Roberts, Revival Literature: An Annotated Bibliography. "Here is clear evidence that the early New England divines understood the great issue of remedial judgments and their place in revivals. Isaiah 32:13-18 is expounded and applied. The Epistle to the Reader is signed by Samuel Torrey and Josiah Flint."

William Adams (1650-1685), b. Ipswich, Massachusetts Bay Colony; d. at Dedham, where he was pastor of the church. He was a graduate from Harvard in 1671.
