Donald McDonald (1783-1867), b. Perthshire, Scotland; d. Southport, Prince Edward Island. "He was educated at St. Andrew's University, and was ordained a minister in the Presbyterian Church. He emigrated to America in 1824; and for forty years he was a minister in Prince Edward Island...He was the author of Spiritual Hymns (Charlottetown, PEI (1835); A Treatise on Baptism (Charlottetown, PEI, 1845); The subjects of the Millennium (Charlottetown, PEI, 1849); and The Plan of Salvation (Charlottetown, PEI, 1874). - DCB.
