Very good full leather binding, joints and hinges fine, red leather spine title label, boards a bit bowed, 4 1/2 x 7 inches, vi. 7-179 (1) pp., complete, tight. Ex historical society library with bookplate, paper spine label, and penciled notations. Pencil marks in the margins throughout, pages dark. Good.

Rev. John Erskine (1721-1803), Scottish theologian, Evangelical preacher, author, and an influence in the great Cambuslang revival. His book Signs of the Times Considered taught that the Whitefield revivals in New England and western Scotland were preludes to prophetic fulfillment.
