Leather spine & corners, marbled boards, binding scuffed and edge-worn, spine crazed. 8 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches. Former owner's signatures on front paste-down, lacks both front free end papers and one of the back. Tp with two small ink stamps of Free Church of Scotland College Library, Edinburgh, and "Chalmers Hall." 571 pp. with 3-pp. index. Pencil notes on the rear end papers - the Free Church small ink stamps are scattered throughout the volume. The 12 monthly issues, 48 pp. each, for 1799, with a general title page, Preface, and index. Good.
