Richard Watson (1781-1833), English Wesleyan theologian. Watson began preaching at age 15, and was active in field & missionary work. His Institutes were the first Wesleyan systematic theology, and he was highly esteemed by his contemporaries for both his intellectual genius and his holy character.

Thomas Jackson (1783-1873), English Wesleyan circuit preacher and editor. He was elected to the chair of divinity in the Theological College at Richmond, Surrey, where he served from 1861 to 1874.
